On February 16th, at 5:30 Tom Malkiewicz will be in attendance to discuss the structural systems of two buildings on campus!
Here is some information him, and what he will be talking about:
Tom K. Malkiewicz, C.I.M., LEED AP, P. Eng., FEC
Tom has been with Crosier Kilgour & Partners Ltd. since 1993, and a partner with the firm since 2001. Tom specializes in the design and management of large and/or complex projects, and brings a high level of expertise to the process of design and project delivery. As a designer with Crosier Kilgour, he has been involved in Winnipeg landmarks such as MTS Centre, the Casino’s of Winnipeg and the Manitoba Hydro Downtown Office Building.
Tom graduated from The University of Manitoba in 1987, with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, and became registered as a member of APEGM in 1990. He currently serves on APEGM’s Experience Review Committee.
Pembina Hall and Investors Group Field are two of Winnipeg’s premier steel structures, and both located on the University of Manitoba Fort Garry Campus. The presentation will cover the overall structural systems of each building, with specific attention to the steel details that make these structures unique and landmarks in Winnipeg.
